Imagine LA ends the cycle of family homelessness by mobilizing trained mentors, collaborative public and private resources, and community leaders who understand that a roof over one’s head is merely the starting point to a better life. Imagine LA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of family homelessness, poverty and neglect.  We work within the Los Angeles area and the surrounding communities of Hollywood/Downtown, Inglewood, South LA, Pasadena, and the San Fernando Valley.

Our professional staff train and guide volunteer mentor teams to help families go from barely surviving to thriving.

Total Amount: $20,000

Both Colin Kaepernick and Serena Williams are donating $10,000 to Imagine LA! Their donations will specifically pay for:

• $10,000 to Family Emergency and Investment Fund
  • Medical expenses, rent, food, car repairs, school supplies, etc
  • Provide 100% matching funds for every $500.00 saved by a family
• $10,000 to the Yetunde Price Resource Center
  • Bi weekly community education mental health and trauma sessions for parents and other adults that have experienced homelessness
  • Bi weekly expressive arts sessions for children who have experienced homelessness. This includes drawing, public speaking, dancing, coding, gardening, which research has proven reduces depression, anger, and violence.
